1. Communications Engineers
VQ delivers class leading business quality videoconferencing over IP. We require Communications Engineers to work on next generation versions of VQ. We are looking for bright, articulate engineers who want to build and deliver outstanding video conferencing services.
This requires excellent knowledge of the relevant protocols, problem resolution skills and an attitude that challenges the status quo. The successful candidate will probably have a degree/masters in computer science.
Key activities to include:
- Protocol Interoperability Testing
- ensuring SIP and H.323 compatibility between the various components of the VQ solution (voice/video soft client, conference bridges(MCUs), traversal systems and room based video conference systems (LifeSize High Definition, Tandberg).
System Management Automation - VQ systems are currently based on Windows and Linux; our longer term plans for this year are to migrate fully to Linux with clustered, high availability systems.
Key Skills to include:
- Solid understanding of SIP and H323 protocols.
- Ability to analyze protocol traces and identify interoperability issues and work with suppliers to resolve is mandatory.
Good team work; we work with a range of international partners. It is mandatory that the candidate can work efficiently in such an environment.
Networking; solid knowledge of TCP/IP.
Ideally, experience of Linux administration, scripting, High Availability and integration.
- Ideally, knowledge of c#, asp.net
Any knowledge of Mono would also be useful

2. UK Sales Manager required to work within our sales and marketing team.
We are looking for a bright, articulate sales professional who delivers results. The successful candidate will probably have a degree/masters and considerable experience in B2B and Channel related sales in the communications industry.
Key activities to include:
Sales working closely with Managing Director to drive sales of all product sold by VQ.
This will cover a range of activities including:

demonstrations of products
- attending meetings to support senior team in any presentations
- attending conferences to demonstrate and promote the service
- managing existing designated accounts and grow sales
Account management
Management of the delivery of sales
- Delivery of the Budget
- People relationships
- Sales Reporting
- Market awareness
Key Skills and Background :
- Proven track record in sales
- General knowledge of the b2b market and ability to communicate with people within that field
- Qualifications in business and or marketing/professional qualifications also an
advantage but not essential
- An exceptional communicator who is enthusiastic, a team player and
entrepreneurial in approach
